I am a novelist, essayist, and poet.  My published books are the novels Snow Island, Evening Ferry, and Island Light.  Together these books make up the Snow Island trilogy.  Set on a fictional New England island between the 1940s and the 1990s, the trilogy is an inter-generational saga about love, family bonds, and the threat of war.  When I’m not writing, I’m teaching in the MFA Program in Writing at Southern New Hampshire University and working as a freelance writer and consultant for schools and non-profits.
